PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Ruby is passionate about helping her patients. With a goal of resolving pain and restoring function, she uses evidence based practice to treat the condition in need. Ruby obtained her Masters of Physiotherapy degree from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2014 after receiving a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from St. Francis Xavier University in 2011. She is registered with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Ruby is qualified to conduct functional capacity evaluations through Metriks, as well as occupational health assessments through Sure Hire. Ruby had the opportunity to be trained in movement impairment syndromes by Dr. Shirley Sahrmann at Washington University School of Medicine in 2015. She became certified in acupuncture, after completing her Level 2 training through Acupuncture Canada. She also has completed manual therapy courses through the Orthopaedic Division of Canada in Level 1 and Level 2. Ruby believes in constantly educating herself to keep up to date with the most effective physiotherapy treatments, ensuring quality care for her patients.

When not doing physiotherapy, Ruby is probably out doing something fun in Halifax, with friends and family, outdoors with her dog, or at the gym. She is also a music lover and enjoys playing guitar.
