MASSAGE THERAPIST

Coral graduated from Eastern College in September 2020 and is registered with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS).

She believes in helping her clients through the therapeutic benefits of massage. Coral is passionate about client care and wellness; she wants to help her clients reach their goals and feel their best.

Coral has one little girl at home and spends her free time going for drives, camping, going for walks at Shubie Park and spending time with her family.

Coral grew up in the community and is looking forward to meeting everyone,  she is very excited to be a part of the team here at Spryfield Physiotherapy.

Lynn Saulnier

MASSAGE THERAPIST

Lynn graduated in 2011 with a diploma in Massage Therapy from the Canadian College of Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy. She is registered with the Massage Therapists and Holistic Practitioners Association of the Maritimes (MTWPAM). She is trained in lighter therapy such as Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Reiki Level 1, General Swedish Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, but she really enjoys doing deeper therapies such as Trigger Point Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Cupping, Guasha Therapy (Level 1 and 2), RAPID Neurofascial Reset (Upper and Lower Body), Myofascial Release.

Lynn has been a member of the Spryfield Physiotherapy team since 2014. When she isn’t busy doing massages, she can be found unloading fishing boats, or in the kitchen making soup for whoever is willing to give it a try. She also loves building things and spending time in her tiny house.

Jessica Shadbolt

Jess graduated from Dalhousie University with a degree in Kinesiology as well as a certificate in Disability Management in May 2020.

Jess is excited to be part of this great team and, growing up in Spryfield, is looking forward to seeing familiar faces along with new ones. In Jess’s free time she loves spending time with her dog Bentley and enjoys going on hikes with him. During the summer months you can find her sitting around the campfire with family and friends.

Sharon Marriott

CLIENT COORDINATOR

Sharon came to the clinic after enjoying many rewarding years working with clients in the finance industry.

Sharon is a master of process, but she understands people just as well. She always offers up a personal touch to make everyone feel welcome. Attention to detail comes as second nature, just like humour and wit because she doesn’t miss a beat.

Outside of work hours Sharon loves spoiling her fur babies and spending time on the beach.

Sheena Commandeur

Sheena Commandeur, RMT, BSc Kin 

MASSAGE THERAPIST

Sheena graduated with a science degree in kinesiology from UVic in 2006. Following her kinesiology degree she graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in March 2013.

She is registered with MTANS and is trained in general swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, trigger point release therapy, cupping, guasha, pregnancy and infant massage and therapeutic exercise. Sheena was an instructor at CCMH from 3 years following graduation and in addition to being a team member at Spryfield Physiotherapy, she works at Scotia Physiotherapy.

She believes passionately in facilitating the healing process for her patients and helping them achieve their wellness goals through massage therapy and therapeutic exercise. She enjoys research as well as the challenge of teaching and hopes to continue growing the profession of massage therapy through this avenue.

Sheena has two little girls and spends her free time chasing after them, baking, exercising, knitting, painting and playing board games. She enjoys making fun of Andy Tilley and has more muscular arms than him.

Ruby MacEachern

Ruby MacEachern, B.A. Kin, M.Sc, P.T.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Ruby is passionate about helping her patients. With a goal of resolving pain and restoring function, she uses evidence based practice to treat the condition in need. Ruby obtained her Masters of Physiotherapy degree from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2014 after receiving a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from St. Francis Xavier University in 2011. She is registered with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Ruby is qualified to conduct functional capacity evaluations through Metriks, as well as occupational health assessments through Sure Hire. Ruby had the opportunity to be trained in movement impairment syndromes by Dr. Shirley Sahrmann at Washington University School of Medicine in 2015. She became certified in acupuncture, after completing her Level 2 training through Acupuncture Canada. She also has completed manual therapy courses through the Orthopaedic Division of Canada in Level 1 and Level 2. Ruby believes in constantly educating herself to keep up to date with the most effective physiotherapy treatments, ensuring quality care for her patients.

When not doing physiotherapy, Ruby is probably out doing something fun in Halifax, with friends and family, outdoors with her dog, or at the gym. She is also a music lover and enjoys playing guitar.
